Angioplasty is a procedure of  non-surgical  that can be used to open blocked heart arteries. Next  a sheath  is inserted into an artery usually of  groin but sometimes in the arm.  Percutaneous coronary intervention is also  known as coronary angioplasty which is used to  treat the coronary stenotic arteries of the heart found in coronary heart disease. In Peripheral angioplasty technique they use a  balloon to open a blood vessel which is outside the coronary arteries. Carotid artery stenosis is another procedure treated with   angioplasty called carotid stenting for patients with  high-risk for carotid endarterectomy. Renal artery stenosis can lead to hypertension and loss of renal function.
